We’re pleased to share that QuizTavern, one of our in-house development projects, has officially moved into public beta.
QuizTavern is a UK-focused daily quiz platform, built to bring the competitive, social feel of a pub quiz online. It’s a project we’ve developed end-to-end – from concept and brand identity through to a full Laravel-based backend, real-time features, and a purpose-built question pipeline of over 10,000 hand-verified questions.
What QuizTavern does
- A daily quiz for everyone – the same set of questions each day, with a global leaderboard and league system that resets at midnight UTC
- Custom and private quizzes – users can create their own quiz rounds and invite others to play, ideal for teams, families, or groups of friends
- A large, verified question bank – spanning 15+ categories, cross-checked rather than pulled from a single source
Why we’re building it
Beyond being a product in its own right, QuizTavern is a showcase of the kind of work we do at Simplicity Digital: full-stack web application development, real-time functionality, content pipelines, and a considered brand identity, all built and shipped by our team.
It’s currently in beta, meaning the core platform – daily quizzes, leaderboards, and leagues – is live and working, with further categories and refinements planned as we gather feedback from early users.
